We’re always curious to learn about more people’s perimenopause experiences.
What have you been feeling lately?
Muscle tension – I can be reading, watching tv, or lying in bed thinking about everyday things, and I realize that my muscles are so tense that my hands, feet, back, my whole body actually, are contorted.
When I turned 42 I started having severe digestive issues when my period would start or finish that spilled over to every day.
I’ve been noticing changes: more acne, darker facial hair at mustache and cheekbones, hair slightly falling out, slower skin turnover.
I started to have BO now that I’d never had before. I smell!

New Changes
I had been running global projects for years and I suddenly found myself struggling to make decisions, I was filled with self-doubt. Lost so much confidence in myself.
Tingling/prickling in hands and feet. Palpitations. Random muscle twinges, numbness, and spasms. Feeling of ‘rushing’ energy through the body. Sudden chills and feeling freezing cold. Feeling of vibration throughout the body.

New Aches and Pains
Aches in weird places….around my arm and armpit.
Pre-menstrual flu-ishness
I’m feeling cold-like symptoms a day or two before my cycle begins.
A few days mid to late-cycle I feel like I have a cold, but symptoms only last 1-2 days.
Hair and Skin Changes
Acne on my face when I’d never had it before, not even as a teenager.
Digestive Changes
Flatulence. Ugh.
